Services

While these pages will offer solutions to many computer issues, it cannot possibly resolve every issue out there. This is where experience proves most important in locating and resolving issues. If you are local to the greater Sacramento area, this includes a drop off and pick up service or a service in-call where I can travel to your location and work on the computer there. If you are not local to Sacramento or if preferred, remote assistance is also available where I can access your computer over the web.

Every repair also comes with a comprehensive log that details every step I made in fixing the issue. This log is so I can track the progress of the repair, so the customer can see what exactly has been done, and also to keep a record for any future reason. A log of previous work is very valuable to anyone who may be looking to make improvements or repairs in the future. I myself wish I could find such a log on the computers that have been brought to me. Many times these are computers that have had expensive repairs at retail locations, and still have issues or are still not operating at peak performance.

Remote Assistance

When it's not practical to fix a computer in person, remote assistance is available. Remote assistance will allow me to access a computer over the web and have control of the mouse and keyboard. In order to use this service, a broadband connection (DSL or Cable internet) is required. This is because snapshots of your screen are sent to me constantly over the internet. Without a fast connection it is virtually impossible for me to see what is happening on the computer. During a remote assistance session, you will have a chat window open so we can communicate with each other. Also, you will still have control over your mouse and keyboard and when to end the session. (It's as easy as a click of the mouse) More details regarding remote assistance and how to set it up can be found on the following page.

Privacy

What's on your computer and how it got there is your business. My business is making the computer work, and work well. Privacy is a very important aspect of this business. There is no need for me or anyone to access media or pictures on your computer, nor question the validity of installed programs including windows itself. However, if you do not know if your version of windows is legitimate, please let me know before any major repairs. This is because I typically make a computer as secure as possible during a repair to prevent future issues from happening. To do so usually requires recent patches and updates from Microsoft as well as setting the system up to get updates automatically from Microsoft. In order to get these updates, Microsoft installs a little program called 'Windows Genuine Advantage' to see if your copy of windows is in fact 'genuine'. If it's not, then you will be constantly informed to purchase a Windows key. If you believe your Windows may not be legitimate, then I just skip those updates and don't set up the automatic downloads is all.

Prices

I understand that prices are a major deciding factor regarding resolving computer issues. I can guarantee that my prices are very competitive and will greatly benefit the customer in regard to cost vs. service. Many times the solution to an issue is so fast and simple that I discount the price to a sort of 'quick fix' price instead. This leaves the customer feeling not 'ripped off' for overpaying someone for 5 minutes of work. It also helps spread word and results in more business for myself. Please contact me with your issues and I can narrow down the cause and be able to give a quote from there. Feel free to take that price and comparison shop. I'm confident you'll find the price excellent, and be pleased by the service provided.
